I’m super stoked to announce that we’ve finished mixing for the first single from my new CD called Alien Nation and we are nearly good to go!. I’ve been working on this project for the past few months with the formidable keyboardist George Whitty (Michael Brecker, Santana, Dave Sanborn, Brecker Bros.) and the legendary drummer Tom Brechtlein (Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Robin Ford, Al DiMeola) and I will be releasing it on Monday June 13th.
To make the release of my single more interesting, I have decided to release it as an educational play-along bundle and will be offering this package at a very low SALE price for a limited number of days following the release. This package will include the single as an MP4 download, a play-along track (music-minus bass), the bass chart and the complete score of the song as PDF downloads. This play-along bundle will also be available for drummers, so start spreading the news to your drummer folks out there!
By practicing and learning to play-along with a track of this calibre will give you the opportunity to ‘sit in’ with some of the best players in the world, while in the comfort of your own practice room! Not only is this an extremely effective practice tool to develop your performance skills, but you can also use this track for presenting a live performance in a master class setting as well!
Watch the video below where you can listen to a sample of the track. I’ve also answered some of the more common questions I’ve been getting about this new project.
If you have any further questions regarding this project, feel free to leave your comments below.
Bass Regards
Joe
When will the new CD be released?
It’s hard to say. We’ve finished two tracks and have started to work on another three tracks- maybe by the end of the year.
Sounds great!!!
Thanks!
Well, for me, judging from Joe Hubbards superb previous compositions and arangments, I am looking forward to this. A true bass genious, a Bruce Lee of the bass kind of summs it up.
Thanks for your support Kalim- I know you’re going to like this!
I’m looking forward to buying the package and working my way up to it.
Back in my schooldays, our headmaster was always encouraging us to “Aim high” – generally good advice unless you’re taking a penalty kick for England in the Euro 2016 football (soccer) championships.
Good advice!
